Five and half acres on two plots: the first one of about 2 acres surrounds the farmhouse, the second one of about 3 and half acres is placed in locality Santa Lucia. Both are cultivated mainly with olive trees. We cultivate the typical Tuscan olive types (frantoio, correggiolo pendolino, moraiolo e leccino)1 that are harmoniously distributed in our Olive grove. This mixture ensures an oil taste with aromas of fresh cut grass and artichoke, characterized by a bitter and spicy aftertaste, excellent to be savoured both raw and in cooking.
The production of saffron, typical of San Gimignano since 1200, is the flagship of the farm, as well as the cultivation of both medicinal and aromatic plants and the Certaldo onion. The fresh products that we cultivate in our organic vegetable garden are daily use in cooking and fruits picked in our small orchard placed in the plot of Santa Lucia allow a small production of jams that you can taste at breakfast. We’ve arranged also a simple botanical path where you can observe some wild and cultivated aromatic plants.
